We have got a lot of appliances in the kitchen. The dishwasher is also the main one. Do you know how the dishwasher is work?
How does a dishwasher work?
There are only three connections that dishwashers need hot water in, discharge to a drain out and electrical. Actually, hot water is coming into the dishwasher through the little spout at the bottom of the tub. Water goes to the bottom of the tub & there is a heating element which heats the water if water is not hot enough. Then the hot water circulates through & it goes up to the spray arms and it cleans your dishes.
Spray arms working on particular dishwashers some of them have more or less spray arms. The water during the cycles get discharged out of the hose & we get clean water for every cycle and at the end of cycle no water in there at all. That’s how the dishwasher is work.
What to do before start Dishwasher?
When you put the rack in you can make it sure that the rack is actually in and not blocking the wash arm on from spraying. If it can’t spin & won’t spray if anything has to block it. You want to make sure that doesn’t happen. If you block all the spray from going up till you clean all the dishes. You want to make sure that anything doesn’t block wash arm from spinning.
The other thing is that you want to make sure that the water is actually really hot before you start the dishwasher. You purge all the cold water out of the line first then you will have hot water. Turning the faucet on your sink and get the water steaming hot and then shut it off. Then start your dishwasher with nice to hot water which is great to dissolve the soap.
Your dishwasher detergent needs to be correct kind of soap. Your dishwasher detergent is important and you want to put in the pre-rinse in the main and then you are going to shut the main. Right soap, hot water is important.
If the filter gets blocked it absolutely will not clean the dishes properly. So you want to make sure, take the filter out, and clean it up if there is any sort of debris in it. Every dishwasher has a filter keep that nice and clear.
The next thing is a float switch. The float has a switch underneath and when the water comes up it lifts the float and it makes the water actually shut off so it knows there is enough water in it. If something gets underneath the floats and hold it up like a fork or spoon etc. you will have no water coming in because it thinks it’s already full. You will never get any water into it even though you can have an empty dishwasher.
If you ever break a glass you clean it up with a wet/dry vac. You get it all out of there otherwise it can block wash on from having spray or pieces of glass can ruin the motor because the seal will get ripped by the glass.
At the end of the cycle, if you see the whole bunch of water in the tub, you probably have the problem with drain hose or mechanically problem with somewhere. If the drain hose gets blocked with debris then it will not drain.
