Dopamine is associated with the pleasure system and disruption of the system can result in mood disorders such as schizophrenia. Serotonin is connected with a bodily function such as sleep, eating, learning, and memory. All of this chemical are off balance when someone has bipolar disorder.

They have a more energy and need less sleep. Bipolar two sometimes can be seen as positive because people have more energy and need less rest.

Treatment for bipolar disorder

For bipolar disorder one, there are two main types of treatment.

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT): the first doctor prescribes to patient lithium. Lithium is the best chemical to suppress the symptoms of mania. It takes about five to seven days for lithium to suppress the symptoms.

Corona therapy: when a doctor suggests corona therapy that the patient goes home and gets eight hours of sleep for three nights. The doctor suggests that eight-hour sleep for three nights is equal to one dose of lithium.
